Well here it is. So delicious. The caviar, while it sounds indulgent and unnecessary, is such a great addition - much better than slimey smoked salmon and so much quicker too.

fyi - i recently started eating select fish again, and celebrated by making this with smoked salmon (and with chives in the eggs) for supper last night. it was lovely. not as good as the caviar, but good for days when you have some scraps of smoked salmon leftover in the fridge.
